It can generate lesson plans, quizzes, tests, homework assignments, worksheets, study guides, discussion questions, and learning activities.

ChalkDraft is designed for teachers, tutors, homeschool instructors, after-school educators, and other people creating educational materials.

The available learning settings also support independent self-study materials when appropriate.

ChalkDraft can create student-facing and self-study resources, but generated materials should still be reviewed by an appropriate adult before they are used for instruction or grading.

Many subjects include more specific Subject Area choices so you can narrow the material to a course, discipline, language, or topic area. Availability can vary by grade or level.

ChalkDraft currently supports official California and Texas academic standards for supported K–12 subjects and grade levels.

When state standards are available for your selected grade and subject, choose California or Texas in the Create form and then select the exact official standard you want the material to address.

State standards alignment is optional. You can still create a material without selecting a state standard, and support for additional states is planned.

No. Official state standards alignment is optional. ChalkDraft can generate materials using your selected grade level, subject, subject area, topic, and other form settings without a state standard.

Yes. The Starter plan includes 3 generations per month at no cost and does not require a credit card.

Paid plans increase the number of materials you can generate each month while using the same generation tools, supported subjects, material types, and state standards features.

Yes. An account is required to generate and save materials. This helps ChalkDraft protect saved content, manage usage limits, and keep account activity connected to the correct user.

Yes. You can use Google sign-in when that option is available on the login or registration page.

Use the Forgot Password link on the login page. ChalkDraft will send a time-limited password reset link to the email address connected to your account.

Google-only accounts do not use a separate ChalkDraft password. Continue signing in through Google.

Email verification helps protect ChalkDraft accounts and confirms that you have access to the email address connected to your account.

If you have not received the verification email, use the resend option after signing in.

Open My Profile while logged in. You can save default values for learning setting, grade level, state standards alignment, subject, and subject area.

You can currently save California or Texas as your preferred state standards alignment so that it can be prefilled when you create new materials.

Restored form data and Create Similar settings take priority when you intentionally return to an earlier configuration.

Yes. For supported California and Texas subjects and grade levels, the Create form lets you select an official academic standard before generating the material.

The selected standard gives ChalkDraft a specific academic target alongside your topic, subject, difficulty, material type, and other settings.

Yes. Logged-in users can save generated materials to their Saved Material Library and open them again later.

Create Similar returns you to the generation form with the previous material settings already filled in.

You can then change the topic, material type, difficulty, question counts, or other options before generating again.

Yes. You can reopen saved materials, print or export them, and use Create Similar to begin a related resource.

ChalkDraft materials are intended to be editable drafts. You can copy the content or export it into an editable document workflow.

Yes. Available workflows include copying, printing, PDF and DOCX exports, and supported Google Drive or Google Docs exports.

Available actions may vary depending on the material and where it is opened.

No. AI-generated content may contain factual mistakes, calculation errors, unclear wording, omissions, or formatting problems.

No. Selecting an official standard gives ChalkDraft a specific standard to target, but the resulting material is still AI-generated and should be reviewed before use.

Confirm that the material actually addresses the selected standard at the depth and level appropriate for your learners.

Yes. Review is especially important for mathematics, science, history, health, sensitive subjects, standards-aligned materials, answer keys, and any material used for grading.

AI generation is not completely deterministic. Two requests using similar settings may produce different examples, wording, questions, or organization.

Use clear topics and Additional Instructions when a specific structure or emphasis is important.

No. ChalkDraft can reduce drafting time, but the user remains responsible for deciding whether a material is accurate, appropriate, aligned, and suitable for the intended learners.

No. Do not enter:

• Student names or email addresses
• Student identification numbers
• Grades connected to a specific student
• IEP or 504 information
• Health or disability information
• Behavioral or disciplinary records
• Other sensitive or identifying student information

Remove identifying details and describe only the educational need.

For example, use “a 7th-grade student who needs additional fraction practice” instead of entering a name or student record.

ChalkDraft is designed for legitimate, age-appropriate educational content. It may block requests that are abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, dangerous, illegal, humiliating, or clearly unrelated to an appropriate educational purpose.

Yes, when the request is factual, respectful, age-appropriate, and educational.

This may include subjects such as war, slavery, racism, discrimination, genocide, bullying prevention, anatomy, health, substance-abuse prevention, propaganda, religion, and difficult literary themes.

Use the Support page for login problems, account issues, password reset trouble, email verification problems, generation errors, standards-selection issues, saved-material issues, export problems, or other technical concerns.
